I wanted to give my testimonial for the Arizona Women's Transitional Study.

I don't know where to begin, except to say that there were so many benefits in the study. The knowledge of the staff was first and foremost.

The affordability was important to me. It amazed me how many of the benefits had no cost to us women. Like the saliva test, the bioidentical hormones, the massages, the supplements, and the Doctor visits. This study definitely helped increase the quality of my life. .I know the staff put their hearts and souls in the study to help us women. I appreciate all you have done for us.

Thank you,

SYBILLE

To Whom It May Concern:

I have had the great opportunity to participate in the Shelter For Synchronistic Healing, Inc since December 2006. This organization came to me at a time when I was at the end of my rope for hormone therapy.

In 1993 I had early stage ovarian cancer and because of that I had a complete and total hysterectomy for 16 years. I struggled with all the classical symptoms i.e. night sweats, hot flashes, slow metabolism, insomnia, fatigue, moodiness, depression, extreme migraines etc. No tradition hormonal treatment worked to increase my levels, causing these symptoms to continue and to intensify. These symptoms were never relieved with hormone therapy prescribed by various doctors trying to help me find relief from my systems. None of the traditional approaches worked for me and I struggled everyday to get out of bed.

The fatigue by June of 2002 was so bad that the tops of my feet ached day and night trying to wear shoes was extremely painful. The wear and tear on my mental health increased in the last few years and it was difficult to think clearly and process information. I really began to think that there was no hope for me and that this was the best it was going to be.

In December 2006 I met Merry Citoli after doing a fund raising activity for the organization, and I asked her exactly what the organization represented and did for women. As we talked I found out that I qualified for this program and it has changed my life.

Eight months later I have enough energy at the end of the day to enjoy the evening with various activities. I no longer wake up wondering if I can put shoes on my feet, or have long bouts of insomnia. My hormone levels are reaching the normal range and my migraines are spread out over six weeks and not as intense. I feel healthier now than in my mid-twenties.

Merry and the board have always provided great services and opportunities for the women of this group with not only medications, but informative classes to help better our lives with a real approach to whole living. This allowed us to face the many struggles that we have had in the recent past and make our lives more enriched and stronger. The opportunity for a free massage provided me with great time for meditation and reflection in my life. It offered me a great relief from the pain I often suffered.

I am grateful for this wonderful opportunity and hope that many women can continue to benefit from the services offered through Shelter For Synchronistic Healing, Inc. It made my future much brighter, healthier, and whole.

Thanks,

Tamara

To whom it may concern:

I have been privileged to be apart of the AZ transitional women's program since its first inception. I was one of the first women to be accepted into an incredible program. This program has helped me in so many ways and I wish more women would have the privilege as I have to gain so much knowledge in women's health. I was finally able to understand some of the underlying symptoms and problems I had.

Before I started this program, I did not understand why I felt so tired and have come to find out that it was "chronic fatigue." I was also fluctuating in weight. I would lose and then gain pounds. In participating within the program, I was able to undergo several hormone tests as well as get consultations and medical reviews. From the hormone tests it was clear that my progesterone levels and adrenals were low. My diet at that time was not helping me and also proved to be another cause for my "chronic fatigue."

I also had the opportunity to be apart of a nutritional system provided by Life Balance Systems. We were fortunate to learn about healthy eating habits, as well as learning how our bodies react to certain foods and how our body functions at its best with the guidelines we learned in this program. It was very informative, educational and again a privilege to be able to learn invaluable information. The monthly massages provided by SWIHA were amazing! This was such a great treat and amenity, especially since this was not something most of the women could afford to do on a monthly basis. I definitely helped my overall well being. I also participated in a hypnosis program that was voluntary and provided/conducted by students attending SWIHA. I can also say this helped me boost my self-confidence and self-image.

My health began to improve with all the many educational opportunities and medical assistance I received through the program. Not only did my health improve, but my personal life flourished. When I started the program, I was a single (divorced) mother of two children (at the time ages 9 and 7), looking for a job that was consistent and viable. As the years passed, I was able to land a wonderful job that pays extremely well compared with what I had previously been earning. I also met my partner, boyfriend now of 1½ years. I am also expecting my third child in December of 2007. With the help of progesterone, I was able to conceive as my partner and I really wanted to have a baby.

Again, I am very thankful to have been apart of such an amazing program to help, educate, and inform women who may not be able to financially, physically, or emotional be able to go through their struggles alone. I want to thank Merry Citoli and all those who went above and beyond to help us women find "ourselves". I only wish the program could continue to help other women as it has helped me. God Bless.

With many thanks,

Michelle

To Whom It May Concern:

My name is Rachel and I would like to tell you that I have been involved with Merry Citoli and the Shelter for Synchronistic Healing since approximately August 2006. Before I ran across this organization I was struggling with many health issues and I had no insurance. The health issues are issues I had been dealing with for 4 years. The problem I was having is as follows: I was very underweight. At times I was as low as 75 lbs. I am 5 ft 2". No matter what I eat I could not gain weight. I became so thin there were nights I wondered if I would not wake up. All this made it so that I could not work because I felt so weak and wanted to sleep. I also looked anorexic but I was not. People thought that I was dieing and so did I. But I could not figure out what was wrong. My periods had stopped for about 4 years also. I had no insurance, so I could go to the doctor to find out. I had a job that prevented me from getting state insurance.
I started looking into different health plans for help but being limited on income I could not afford much. I was at the time also renting a room in this house with two other ladies. I had saved some money but my health got to the point that I made the decision I had to find out what was wrong with me. I quit my job and had to wait a long time to get on state insurance. I lived off my savings. The money did not last long and I was forced to tell my landlord I could not rent any longer. I started going through my stuff with the thought in my mind I was going to be homeless or in a shelter someplace so I gave away a lot of stuff.
Around this time I was looking on the computer and saw the Shelter for Synchronistic Healing so I called to see if they could help. I was looked over by a naturopath who ran tests to see what was wrong with me. Merry the founder of the organization gave me referrals to a local Shelter she recommended knowing I was about to be homeless. I never ended up living at the shelter because Merry ended up opening up her house to me a complete stranger. During this time I was able to get tests run to find out what was causing my weight loss. I spent the next few months going to different doctors and specialist. Merry was there to support me through it all.
The good thing is nothing major was found wrong with me. I eventually within a year having the support of Merry, Troy Albright, and others who volunteered there time, knowledge and services, I was able to gain weight and get a full time job. I even started dating and found a nice guy that I would not have been able to see if my health was still bad.
I am thankful for all the Shelters help and I am indebted to Merry for her opening up her home to me a complete stranger. If she had not done that I would have ended up, I do not know were. She ended up becoming someone I call a friend for life. I hope all who read this will hopefully see that this organization has and can help people who are in need. I am glad this organization was there when I needed it.
Thank you to all involved,

Rachel

Dear Merry,

I wanted to thank you for starting the Arizona Women's Transitional Women's Hormone Study. When I started the program, I was an emotional wreck. I would cry at times, it seemed, for nothing at all. I would jump from crying to being enraged. I was bleeding non-stop on a daily basis using more sanitary napkins then any normal person should. The gynecologist recommended that I have a hysterectomy immediately. He said there was no other remedy.

I started your program and began on hormones and follow up visits with the naturopathic doctor. I started on vitamins at once and attended all workshops to educate myself on how to eat properly and keep my hormones balanced. I also had brain fog, hot flashes, irritability, night sweats, mood swings, and low to no libido. Now I am symptom free, and I have not had a menstrual cycle in about 9 months. My hormones are balanced and I feel like I'm on top of the world everyday. I am even tempered and everyone says Karen you look younger and radiant.

My mother passed away and I was able to control my emotions and remain functional. My husband compliments me everyday by saying "honey you look beautiful". I have gone from a size 16 to now wearing a size 12. My children appreciate my even temper and they express it often. People who have seen my emotional change are interested in the program. And I have referred a person who was having the same problems and she has even showed a change.

Being in the ministry, I see many people who struggle due to hormonal im-balance. I hope and pray that you keep this program going so that other women will have a chance to keep their female organs, keep their sanity and live a normal life. Merry there are not enough words that I can write to express my thanks and admiration for you and all who have donated their time and efforts like RX formulations and Troy Albright. I truly thank you.

Sincerely,

Pastor Karen Burkhalter
